New Season: Hiyaoroshi /

I realized today, that it is already in autumn.
This year Japan was experiencing the hottest summer I heard.
on the other side, London had only a couple week of what we can call summer.
I, as a summer person, was always sentimental to welcome autumn in the past,
yet this year, it feels different.
This bizarre feeling may come from my discovery of fall, by colors of trees and fruits on my everyday path, or the length of day/night, or the smell of the winds go by.
It may be come from this happy harvest delivered from Japan.

Zuma had changed seasonal Sake menu to Autumn Hiyaoroshi selection last weekend.
from the left:
-Niwa no Uguisu, Ginjo Hiyaoroshi
-Kaze no Mori, Tsuyuhakaze 75 Junmai
-Kaze no Mori, Yamadanishiki 30 Junmai Daiginjo
-Shichihonyari, Junmai Hiyaoroshi
-Takashimizu, Yamahai Hiyaoroshi

Personally, I love the aromas of apple pie-like roastiness of warm Shichihonyari,
and Kaze no Mori's ever-changing balance of flavors.

If you are around the area, please come over and taste them.
