JPN DAY7: FUMI countdown and where I belong

Today I and han chan have visited the venue for FUMI Dinner 2010, 

MmMm Family Company in Ebisu.

本日は、FUMI Dinner 2010の開催場所である

恵比寿のMmMmファミリーカンパニーさんに半ちゃんとお邪魔しました。

This time our concern was mostly about its space. 

They told us they never had more than 20 people in the room 

and we are both worried a bit to welcome over 30 guests.

Checking the arrangement of table & chairs, the numbers of plates and utensils, 

and the space for the exhibition and selling stuff... with a MmMm staff lady, 

little by little we grew our imagination for the day of FUMI.

Two more days to FUMI...!

今回の一番の不安点が、大きさ…

これまで２０名を越える人を収容したことが無いスペースらしく、

参加人数３０名を予定している私たちはドキドキ。

MmMmの担当者さんと机や椅子の配置、食器や備品の数、

展示や物販のスペースの確認を行いながら、

少しずつ当日のイメージングを膨らましていきます。

FUMIまであと二日…

After that, I stopped by Hasegawasaketen, GranSta branch,

where I worked until right before moving to London last year.

I was welcomed by the same old staff members and new comers,

and same Sake lineups and new creations.

I am always proud of being their alumni.

My ex-coworkers invited me to taste some Sake and I got to try two different kinds:

Hiroki Tokubetsu Junmai, one of the seasonal menu at my restaurant Zuma,

and Izumofuji Gin, that I was recommended as the sake satisfies European palate. 

Hiroki was bit more round and has more flavor of rice than the one I tasted in London,

and Izumofuji, opened up my eyes with its glamorous yet refreshing finish.

For FUMI Dinner 2010, I picked two kinds of Sake from their collection. 

その後は、ロンドン出発前にお世話になった、はせがわ酒店グランスタ店へ。

変わらぬメンバーと、４月に入った新入生、

変わらぬお酒ラインナップと、新しい日本酒の流れ、

卒業生として誇りの持てる酒屋さんなのです。

バーカウンターで、お酒を御馳走になりました。

私の現在働くZUMAでも扱っている、飛露喜　特別純米と

「ヨーロッパのお客様が好きそう」と選んでもらった出雲富士の吟。

日本で頂く飛露喜はどことなしかロンドンのより柔らかく、

お米の味がしっかりついている印象でした。

出雲富士は、目が覚める位華やかで且つ爽快な切れ口のある

綺麗なお酒でした。

今回のFUMIでのお酒も、はせがわのリストから２種出すことに。

その夜はViva La Fruits TOKYO FRUITS STYLE @ SMOKE Bar & Grill に。

FUMIの共同オーガナイザー、ハカセの所属するフタバフルーツさんによる

フルーツ×音楽の素敵なイベントでした。

ファーマーズマーケットやメディアサーフの仲間もいっぱい。

I love my friends, 

who spark with their own talents, fields, and D.I.Y. spirits of different colors.

夫々がとりどりの才能とフィールド、DIYスピリットをもって活躍する、

そんな仲間が好きだ。

JPN DAY6: what means love

Madoka, My precious friend from High school.
She move to Nagano prefecture with her husband last year after her wedding, but I was lucky to meet her in Tokyo this time.
How to love with someone, to be family, and to be honest to yourself...
She taught so much to me from her strong existence.
I cannot wait to see you again.

高校来の大切なともだち、まどかちゃん。
今は長野にお嫁にいってしまったのだけれど、お母様の一回忌のため帰省中の彼女と、東京で会うことができました。
誰かを愛すること、家族になること、自分に正直になること、
沢山彼女を通じて教えてもらった。
また会えることを、楽しみにしているよ。

JPN DAY5.5: Gyoza, laugh, and laugh

I was invited to Gyoza dumpling party at Seri, Acchan, and Osamu chan's share house in Kyodo!
経堂にある、せり・あっちゃん・おさむちゃんのシェアハウスでの
餃子パーティにお邪魔しました！

Seri chan and Kemu chan. Kemu chan reminds me of my cat Nemnem a lot.
せりちゃんと、けむちゃん。
けむちゃんは家の猫ねむねむにそっくり。

Team Media Surf, Moe chan and Tomoji and Setaka.
I feel like giggling the whole night.
久しぶりに会えたともじと、もえちゃん。せたかも加えて、チームメディアサーフ。
この夜は、ずっーと笑ってた気する。

Osamu chan. Johnny, Yuichiro kun, Yama chan.
All important friends I met at Schooling-Pad.
Mhh. Yummy.
おさむちゃん、ジョニー、雄一郎君、やまちゃん。
みんなスクリーンパッドで出会った大切な仲間たち。
ああ、美味しい。

The leftover sheets for dumpling turned into tiny-tiny pizza dough.
Nori chan, Acchan, Kousuke kun, Thank you for preparing the amazing food!
残った餃子の皮は、ちっちゃなピザに。
のりちゃん、あっちゃん、こうすけ君、ごちそうさまでした！

I was happy to see Yusuke kun.
Hundreds of Gyoza disappeared inside of our tummies.
Again, Thank you all for the great night!
ゆうすけくん、会えて嬉しかったよ☆
沢山のたくさんの餃子は私たちのお腹の中に消えていきました。
みんな、本当ありがとう！
