Akita NEXT5 Tour / 秋田 NEXT5ツアー Vol.0

I had toured 5 Sake breweries who established the team named "NEXT5",

consist of five young Sake brewers and presidents in Akita prefecture.

They are in the middle of Sake production for their latest collection "EMOTION 2011".

My amazing tour navigator is President Koei Watanabe san of Fukurokuju and Ippakusuisei.

Gochisousama for today -Gin Gin & OTTIMO / 吟吟 & OTTIMO

After JOY OF SAKE TOKYO, Chizuko san & Timothy san took me to

Gin Gin in Oomori.

Surprisingly, all of their Sake selection costs 480 yen per glass.

It sounds like a heaven, doesn't it?

やってきました大森の「地酒と地魚 ・吟吟（ぎんぎん）」。

こちらはどの日本酒もすべて一杯￥４８０という驚きの価格！

天国の様なところです。。。

Yummy yummy fresh local fish and organic vegetable.

新鮮な地魚と有機野菜も美味しい美味しかった。

Especially I was glad to see Chizuko san, who has been doing amazing Sake works in NY.

NYで活躍される大先輩、念願のちずこさんに会えて嬉しかったです☆

report: JOY OF SAKE TOKYO

I was fortunate enough to attend the US's biggest Sake event 

"JOY OF SAKE" launching in Tokyo on 8th November.

326 varieties of Sake including the whole collection of U.S. National Sake Appraisal 2011 entries

were presented, as well as appetizers from various famous restaurants such as 

NOBU Tokyo, Wakiya Ichiemicharou, Aburiya Kinnosuke from NYC.

This is their second year event in Tokyo. So many people on the floor!

米国最大の日本酒イベント、「JOY OF SAKE」が１１月８日、

東京にて開催され、一時帰国中の私は運良く参加することができました。

2011年全米日本酒歓評会の全出品酒をはじめとした３２６の銘柄が一挙勢揃いし、

ノブ・トーキョー、Wakiya一笑美茶樓、NYCから参加の炙り屋錦乃介等の

有名レストランのアペタイザーが提供されました。

今年二度目となる東京開催。大盛況です！
