KANPA+i London! 
Ikebana, Japanese Sake & Food Charity Event 


In Japan, people say “Kanpai” as “Cheers” before having drinks, and this word also  
includes the Japanese word “Kanpa” = Donation and “i” = Love
The Embassy of Japan and Hasegawa Saketen will co-host a charity event in aid of 
victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. With the support of several 
Japanese restaurants in London, guests will enjoy a taste of Japanese traditional food.

organisation and occupation as well as full names of all guests. Only guests 
whose names are registered on the Guest List will be admitted. 
*Please bring Photographic Identification (passport, driving license, etc.) as those 
without may be denied entrance. 

Free Admission, Voluntary Donations are welcome! 
All the money donated will be sent to the area affected by the earthquake through the 





Hasegawa Saketen, the well-known sake shop in Japan will bring a group of sake
breweries from all over Japan: 
[Sake]  Jokigen (Yamagata), Yonetsuru (Yamagata), Yamaotokoyama (Yamagata), Asamayama (Gunma), Isojiman (Shizuoka), Zaku (Mie), Ugo no Tsuki (Hiroshima), Toyo Bijin (Yamaguchi), Dassai (Yamaguchi), Mii no Kotobuki (Fukuoka), Azumaichi (Saga) 
[Shochu]  Kanehachi (Oita), Komaki (Kagoshima) 
*13 breweries, more than 30 brands 





Ikenobo Ikebana also cooperates in this event 
and Mr. Showka Ishiwata will demonstrate the Japanese art of IKEBANA. 
the ancient flower arrangement ceremony of REISHIKI-IKE, 
used in religious rites and to greet important guests for centuries 
and he will present RIKKA, an elaborate and beautiful style dating 
from the late nineteenth century. 
Together, these will give you a flavor of how IKEBANA showcases 
the beauty of flowers and plants while also reminding us
of the eternal realities of life and death. 



Zuma and Roka, one of the London's top restaurants, 
offered to give Sushi live demonstration with supports of Atariya Foods, Tazaki Foods and S.K.Y enterprise. 
In addition, there will be Japanese foods provided by Mitsukoshi RestaurantYashin Sushi, Hello Kitchen, Oisi Restaurant, SKY Gourmet, Cocoro Restaurant.
