report: KANPA+i London! Thank you!


Today is the day.
KANPA+i London!, the Japan earthquake and Tsunami charity event 
co-hosted by The Embassy of Japan and Hasegawa Saketen and 7 restaurants in London.
I have been help organizing this event since this May.

私がこの4ヶ月、一生懸命お手伝いさせてもらった大イベント、
在英国日本大使館はせがわ酒店とロンドンの7飲食店の協賛で実現した
震災のチャリティーイベント「KANPA+i London!
いよいよ当日です。

*Yamaotokoyama and Asamayama only provided Sake

浅間山(群馬) 磯自慢(静岡)、作(三重)、雨後の月(広島)、
東洋美人(山口) 獺祭(山口)、三井の寿(福岡)、東一(佐賀) 
焼酎:   兼八(大分)、小牧(鹿児島)
※浅間山と山男山は酒提供のみ




Sachiko, a new Sake sommelier at Zuma helped Sake booth.
ZUMAの新米日本酒ソムリエ、さっちゃんに日本酒ブースの
お手伝いしてもらいました。


238名の参加者に恵まれました!
We are blessed with 238 participants! 



Masa san, who made tons of Sushi at a charity event in March is helping us again this time.
also this time Ryota san of ROKA Canary Wharf branch is in the team!
Peppino, who is a waiter at ROKA helped the booth so well.
I really appreciate your support...

We got to show the video letter from Sake Volunteer Tour,
who just finished their first week at Niizawa Brewery in Miyagi.
The words of Mr. Niizawa brought me tears.

一週間の宮城新澤醸造での時間を終えた酒蔵ボランティアツアーからのビデオレターも
無事上映することができました。
新澤さんの言葉に、涙が出そうになった。

 We raised £3559.1 + $200 + 5 Scottish pound in total (about ¥461,512).
All the money All the money donated will be sent to the area affected by the earthquake 

合計で£3,559.1+米国$200+5スコットランドポンド、
およそ¥461,512の義援金を集める事ができました。
被災地の復興支援に役立たせていただきます。


All the restaurants participated and donated great food, 
all the Kuramoto (brewers) visited from Japan, 
all the volunteer staffs who did amazing work,
beautiful Ikebana performance of Mr&Mrs Ishiwarari san & Boff san,
Alex, Robert, Rina and Timothy from the Sake Volunteer Project for great works and video letters, 
Shimotaya san and Saera san for the Yet I Still Dare to Hope photo exhibition,
Yamazaki san of the Embassy, President Hasegawa san, Senmu, Komazawa san 
and Tachikawa san of Hasegawa Saketen for giving this opportunity and for everything,
and all the people participated and supported this event, BIG BIG THANK YOU!!
As President Hasegawa said at the speech, my wish is that all the brewers 
who could not make it to the UK this year will visit here next year,
and raise a toast saying "Kanpai!" together.

美味しい食べ物を協賛いただいた飲食店の皆様、
日本からわざわざ訪英/お酒を協賛してくださった蔵元の皆様、
当日会場で大活躍してくださったボランティアのみなさん、
素晴らしい生け花の実演を披露くださった石渡御夫妻とボフさん、
被災地の酒蔵ボランティアツアーの様子をビデオレターにし届けてくれた
アレックス、ロバート、理奈さん、ティモシーさん、
Yet I Still Dare to Hope写真展を出展してくださった下田屋さん、沙絵良さん、
今回の機会をくださり、多大な協力をいただいた大使館の日本酒振興担当の山崎さん、
はせがわ酒店の長谷川社長、専務、駒沢さん、太刀川さん、
そしてこのイベントをサポートし、参加頂いた皆さん、
本当にありがとうございました!
長谷川社長がスピーチでも仰ったように、
今年来れなかった被災地の蔵も一緒に、来年ロンドンの皆さんとカンパイ!
できることを願っています。
